What are Initiatives?

This is the only space created by YOU, the users. While Processes and Assemblies are created by the administration, an Initiative is a way for citizens to force an issue onto the agenda.

  • How it works: You create an initiative to propose a new rule or action. You must gather digital signatures (supports) from other users. If you reach the goal, the organization must discuss it.

  • When to go here: When you have a great idea that isn't being discussed anywhere else, and you want to build community support for it.

  • Real-world analogy: A Signature Drive or a Formal Petition.

  • Example: "Initiative to ban plastic straws in city parks" or "Proposal to rename a street."
